Sometimes people wonder about us. Does Dunrovin lead youth programs or rent out to private/group retreats? The answer: We do both!
Retreatants come out to enjoy a rest in the solitude and natural beauty of the St. Croix Valley. Income from rentals covers the cost for operations at Dunrovin (staff, facility updates, insurance, etc.).This means we can use 100% of donations to support youth programs such as Getaway and LEAD. At-risk youth unable to afford these retreats receive an opportunity to come to Dunrovin because of funds raised. Food, lodging, and program costs (staff and equipment) are funded by private and grant gifts.
Because rentals create income and balance us financially, we can honestly report that all fundraising supports our youth programs. How do our guests feel about this? When adult rental groups hear about our unique financial setup, their response is overwhelmingly positive. They are pleased to know how they are helping create a safe, fun, and faith-filled place for youth who could not otherwise afford a life-changing retreat.
