I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
Saint Teresa of Calcutta
Five young adults joined Dunrovin’s staff on August 31, 2025. They commit to eleven months of service, offering retreat ministry for middle and high school students and doing a myriad of jobs at the Retreat Center. They live in community at Dunrovin, the young ladies in the Brother James Miller Garden House and the guys at the “apartment.” Our goals for this fourth step of the Dunrovin LEAD program are to fulfill a growing retreat schedule and give the young adults many opportunities for job exploration and skills practice.

Maggie Dunst
Maggie was born in Michigan and grew up in Eagan, Minnesota, moving only twice in her life. She grew up the oldest of four kids in a Catholic household. Maggie graduated from Two Rivers High School in 2025 and during that summer had her first experience at Dunrovin on a DLITE retreat.
Being a Servant Leader is something that will help Maggie in her faith journey and in learning to guide others toward God. Being a therapist or a counselor is something that Maggie feels called to do, but she wants to keep God at the center of her decisions. College didn’t seem to be the next step, and Maggie wanted to find something to fill her year, something surrounded by God. Growing even closer to God is a goal for Maggie so she can be strong when having tough conversations or moments, and also so she can spread God’s love to anyone who needs it.

Shatyra Scott
Shatyra Scott was born and raised in Columbus in the southern part of Texas. She is the second child
of three children. She graduated from Columbus High School in 2022. Shatyra volunteered at the youth group program in her hometown as an adult leader and supervisor. She loved watching how quickly the lessons and activities changed the highschoolers’ perspectives in faith.
This is Shatyra’s first time at Dunrovin. She desires to be on the Servant Leaders Team because she is driven by a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential, and for herself to grow with a heart of service and a vision for a better future.
Shatyra is committed to actively listening to team members and everyone around her, addressing their needs and ensuring everyone has the resources to succeed. Inspired by the belief that leadership is about service, she continuously seeks opportunities to support and uplift those around her. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cleaning, painting, walking, and playing games. All of these bring a diverse perspective to her leadership approach.

Molly Brackins
Molly was born on the island of Oahu and lived there until she was seven years old. Moving first to Maryland and then Northern Virginia, Molly now lives on the East Coast with her family of eight– six children plus her parents. She was born and raised in Roman Catholicism and considers her faith an integral part of her life. She grew up participating in the People of Praise charismatic community for as long as she can remember and is considering joining the community. Molly was first homeschooled. She then spent middle and high school at Trinity School at Meadow View in Northern Virginia.
Molly was introduced to Dunrovin through a friend and joined DLITE in the summer of 2025. Molly initially applied for NET when her friend Ella told her about the DSL program. Molly considers her NET weekend and meeting Ella a gift from God. Without these, she never would have heard about Dunrovin. Her favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9: But he said to me:”My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Josiah Heintzman
Having grown up in the fertile soil of West St. Paul, Minnesota, Josiah has always been surrounded by great communities. Foremost among these are the charismatic Community of Christ the Redeemer (CCR) and St. Joe’s Catholic Church. He is the oldest of seven and received a homeschooled education full of great books, entrepreneurial skills, and catechesis. He enjoys playing board games (the more complicated, the better), camping, and good, thoughtful conversations about reality.
Josiah recently finished a year of service with NET Ministries and loved the ministry experience. He considers Dunrovin to be his spiritual home ever since he first encountered God in prayer at CCR BLAST camp in fifth grade. Josiah is looking forward to loving the youth and his team radically this next year. God has been speaking to him a lot about maintaining trust and peace in all circumstances. If he could insert here a copy of Searching for and Maintaining Peace by Fr. Jacques Philippe, he would.

James Fischer
Although born in Minnesota, James moved to Tallahassee, Florida with his family in 2018. He’s happy to be back in the cooler weather. James brings his love of music ministry, video-making skills, and love of God to Dunrovin as he begins his year as a Servant Leader. He loves the beauty of the natural world surrounding Dunrovin.
The oldest child with five younger siblings, James is a good cook, a natural servant, and an energetic young man who deeply desires to serve God and others.
