Youth Program Coordinators' Welcome

Dear Friend:

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Dunrovin, a retreat center owned and operated by the Christian Brothers.  Cut back in the woodlands along the St. Croix River, Dunrovin's fifty acres provide an ideal setting for reflection, spiritual renewal, and deliberation.  Dunrovin's mission is to empower, provide, and celebrate the discovery and growth of Christian belief and values in youth.  It is rooted in the Catholic Lasallian tradition of faith, which is to help young people to see the presence of God in their lives.

It is a fast paced world, and now like never before technology keeps us constantly connected and engaged with the world via television and the internet, cell phones and pagers.  Our youth are now part of a world where it is very difficult to disengage and spend time in quiet contemplation.  Yet our Creator invites us in Psalm 46:10 to "Be still and know that I am God."

We invite you to consider a retreat experience.  Each retreat gathers young people from a variety of parishes who come together to take some time away to experience God.  Through Scripture, music, worship, quiet reflection, and group activities, participants have an uninterrupted time to focus on the presence of God in their lives.

We offer a limited number of retreats; they tend to fill up fast and we try to accommodate as many parishes as possible.  We hope to continue to expand the opportunities in the future.  Please feel free to contact us for more information or if you would like to meet with us for a tour of the facility.

God bless you!

Sincerely,

Jim Franzen, Mary Howard, and Tim Stanoch
