Youth Ministers and Adult Youth Leaders

Here is more information about the LEAD retreats.

Dear youth ministry leader,

Via a Link below you'll find a the registration form for the L.E.A.D. Young Christian Challenge weekend at Dunrovin May. 21th thru the 23rd. The cost is $125 per student with one adult youth ministry leader free per group. Some parishes may choose to underwrite the cost or part of the cost for their youth leaders as these young youth leaders will be your key people in building and maintaining your youth programs. (This is also excellent training for VBS student leaders.) If you plan to do that, simply adjust the cost amount that parents/students should pay on the attached parental cover letter and I suggest letting them know how you are subsidizing their retreat. Additional adults are encouraged and welcome to come at $125. There may be an adult track for all adult youth leaders depending on numbers. This track should be a key tool in having everyone come off the weekend on the same page. We too are subsidizing the retreat because we are so excited about this retreat and we are expecting great results like we had during this past summer and fall. Have parents make out the checks to you and then you can write us one check or they can make out a check to us but we ask you to collect them. Please send your check and/or theirs plus the registration forms to us by May 12th.

If you are not able to attend the retreat, I would suggest getting the book 20 Top Teens. I will have them available to for purchase on the weekend at $20. It will give you/other adult leaders a complete overview and aid in teaching and reinforcing these concepts in the days after the retreat. Its also available at their website HERE or used through Amazon HERE for new or used at a discount.

The retreat will begin at 7 Pm Friday May 21st and run through Sunday noon.
I am more excited about this retreat than any I have been involved in a long time. The life changing potential in it is so great. I can't wait to help these young people with new concepts that will increase their ability to live life more positively and influence their peers and others for Christ.

I am also linking a letter that you could send to the parents of students that you would like to go on the retreat. It's a word document so you can change it and use it as you would like. I thought that it might be helpful to include information you received concerning the retreat and also to tell the parents that you believe that their child is (can be) a student leader.
